Dirty Rice
A true southern side dish, Louisiana Dirty Rice is filled with sausage, ground beef, bell pepper, onion, celery & spices. Also perfect as a dressing or stuffing for chicken, turkey or quail. Stolen from a recipe I found on Google

- Add to prep bowl
- · ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- · ½ teaspoon paprika
- · ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- · 1 teaspoon chili powder
- · 1 ½ teaspoon salt
- · 2 teaspoon dried thyme
- · 1 tablespoon dried oregano
Keep these together so they are available when needed!
- Add to bowl
- · ¾ C green bell pepper, diced
- · ¾ C yellow onion, diced
- · ¼ C celery, diced
- · 2 teaspoon minced garlic

- · 1 lb ground beef
- · 1 lb ground pork sausage
No need to mix or dirty a bowl, they're ready to use out of the package!
- Add to measuring cup
- · 2 C chicken broth
- · 3 bay leaves
- Add to rice cooker
- · 5 C cooked jasmine rice, prepared with chicken broth
Use the appropriate amount of broth or water with bullion to cook your rice, cooking more is fine, just measure out 5 cups for the last step!
