Request deletion of your data
You can delete some or all of your CookbookPro data and keep your account. This applies to the CookbookPro app on Google Play and the App Store, and to cookbookpro.app. The developer is CookbookPro.
Option 1: Delete it yourself in the app
- Recipes and drafts: open the recipe, tap the ... menu, then Delete
- Recipe photos: open the recipe editor and remove or replace the photo
- Cookbooks: open the cookbook menu, then Delete
- Shopping lists and meal plan entries: open the list or day, then Delete
- Comments and ratings: open the recipe and delete your own comment or rating
- Profile photo and bio: open Account, remove the photo, clear the bio, then Save
These deletions happen immediately.
Sign in to manage your dataOption 2: Ask us by email
Email help@cookbookpro.app from the address on your account with the subject "CookbookPro data deletion request". Tell us which data to delete. We verify ownership and complete the request within 30 days, usually within 7.
Data you can ask us to delete
- Recipes, drafts, and recipe photos
- Cookbooks, including published ones
- Meal plans and shopping lists
- Nutrition, weight, and check in logs
- Comments, ratings, and favorites
- Profile photo, bio, and display name
- Voice dictation audio is never stored, so there is nothing to delete
What is kept, and for how long
- Payment and tax records: up to 7 years for legal and accounting requirements
- Content safety and copyright records: up to 2 years to prevent abuse
- Encrypted backups: removed as backups roll over, within 30 days
