Delete your CookbookPro account

This page applies to the CookbookPro app on Google Play and the App Store, and to cookbookpro.app. The developer is CookbookPro.

Option 1: In the app or website

1. Sign in to CookbookPro.
2. Tap Account in the bottom bar (or open Account on the website).
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm, then type your account email.

Deletion happens immediately. If you have a renewing membership, cancel it in Billing first.

Option 2: Ask us by email

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email help@cookbookpro.app from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my CookbookPro account". We verify ownership and delete the account within 30 days, usually within 7.

What is deleted

• Profile: name, handle, bio, profile photo, email, and password
• Recipes, drafts, and recipe photos
• Cookbooks you created, including published ones
• Meal plans, shopping lists, and nutrition and weight logs
• Comments, ratings, favorites, and reports you filed
• Household memberships and app preferences

What is kept, and for how long

• Payment and tax records (purchase dates, amounts, invoices): kept up to 7 years for legal and accounting requirements, then deleted
• Records of content safety violations and copyright notices: kept up to 2 years to prevent abuse, then deleted
• Encrypted backups: removed as backups roll over, within 30 days
